Well, it has finally happened! Anthropic secured itself as the world's most valuable AI start-up with the funding round last week and has now filed this. I am a little bit surprised by this move, but it will be interesting to see when they are gunning to be listed. If they are holding off till the November/December range, I think it makes a little bit more sense than raising that $65 billion and then moving to be listed and raising more money within just a couple of months.

Does anyone have any speculation about what is going on here?

There is discussions over on Hacker News about how this is about setting up to dump on retail, including fast-tracking getting the AI companies into the index funds e.g. S&P500 so that retirement and passive funds have to buy them.

What are the possibilities that there is an AI hype bubble pop, and that the lack of price movement in Bitcoin is useful here as it is somewhat uncorrelated with the insane movements in stonks?

What will be the "safe place" that AI people will rush into when the valuations of AI companies burst?

I do not know about Anthropic, but SpaceX was shopping its IPO/listing, so they were able to get the Nasdaq to bend the knee. SpaceX in particular is stepping up to keep dumping shares into the market for months, and I do not know if we know if Anthropic has the same structure.

Structure is what matters here and SpaceX has one that is brutal for the markets.
