The Rams have traded for the best defensive player in the game- Myles Garrett.
The 49ers have added depth at Edge but have their two starters, Nick Bosa and Mykel Williams, coming off ACL tears. Bosa should be ready for week 1 but Williams may need to start on the PUP list. They could stand to upgrade at Edge.
We all know the Raiders want to get rid of Maxx Crosby (mostly due to his contract, age, injury history, but also so they don't have to pretend to like his rap songs anymore). They wanted two first round picks for Crosby but the trade with the sneaky bastard Ravens fell through. It is unlikely they would get 2 firsts now for Crosby, but could still get a great haul for him.
49ers and Raiders fans alike have been dreaming about this moment for years. Is it finally time for the 49ers to trade for Maxx Crosby?

It was less terrible than Waller, but in a way it’s still more disappointing

Ok two firsts for Maxx and 2 5ths. Our 5th round pick will be better than our 1st rounder would have been anyways.

I don't like that. We have Rams week 1 and Seattle week 5 and I am guessing Williams is not back at least until week 5.
Sure, but Bosa probably won’t last until the deadline, so this would give you a fresh replacement.
He will be fine. Last time he missed almost an entire season he came back with a full year and 15.5 sacks the following year. Granted he was 5 years younger so I don't expect that but double digit sacks and at least 14 games played.
