Just 7 days for the greatest sporting event. I know that some of you may not agree with this statement, but for most of the world this is an event with no match.
This year, 48 National Teams all over the globe will fight to raise the Jules Rimet trophy , as it was known till 1970s, on July 19th.
There are a bunch of countries favorites to win it. Among them, Mbappé's France, Bellingham's England, Vini Jr's Brazil, Messi´s Argentina or CR7's Portugal. I will be supporting Spain, though a few late injuries in some of our players makes me to be a bit cautious.
As in other football contests, I will be running a pool which will have the following rules.
- 1000 sats buy-in. Just mention " I'm in" and I will send you an invoice to send the sats.
- During the 3 days of the group phase, I will post 4 matchups each day and you need to provide the final result. If you guess the final outcome ( Team A wins, Team B wins or a draw) you get 1 point. In addition, if you guess correctly the final result you will get 2 extra points.
- Round of 32 and Round of 16: I will post 6 matches in each round. If you guess the team that goes through, you will receive 3 points. 2 extra points will be awarded if you guess the number of goals at the end of the 90 or 120 minutes of play.
- Quarterfinals: You will need to provide the winner of the four matches. If you guess correctly the semifinalists, you will receive 6 points for each one. 2 extra points if you guess correctly the number of goals in each match at the end of the 90 or 120 minutes of play.
- Semifinals: If you guess the finalists, you will receive 10 points for each one and 2 extra points if you guess the amount of goals in each match at the end of the 90 or 120 minutes of play.
- Final: 15 points will be awarded if you guess the World Cup winner. 5 additional points will be awarded if you guess the number of goals scored in the final, at the end of the 90 or 120 minutes of play.
