Picked this up on sale last weekend and beat it in just under 16 hours, and what can I say stackers, absolutely fantastic game.
For context, RE1 dropped when I was like 11, and it was groundbreaking. Since my uncle was the only person with a PlayStation, I would only get to play a bit of it once a year, on Boxing Day when the family gathering would be at his house.
From the classic days, RE2 was my favourite, and I've been loving the remasters and newer games, but I think Reqium might be my favourite of all the newer ones.
Without dropping any spoilers, there were some excellent nostalgia moments, great locations, and more than a few disgusting and unsettling zombies to tee off on.
Also, a return to classic zombies (as opposed to mold-based enemies we've had since RE7).
If you have ever enjoyed Resident Evil or just like survival horror, this is a must-buy.
PS - app/site recommendation
I have been using a site called Deku Deals that lets you add games to a wishlist, then you get a ping via the app or email when they go on sale. Since I will always try to wait for sales, this has been much more efficient that the Google Keep list I had and Google Alerts. Highly recomended
STAND BACK JILL ILL TAKE CARE OF THIS!!
Boom
Boom
BOOM 🤯 ( Zombie head explodes)
I used to love RE played a lot of them in my youth. I remember I rented Code Veronica and was trying to beat it on my friends Dreamcast and the game got stuck at one of the cutscenes with the guy with the double machine guns. I can’t remember his name. But Code Veronica was great.
I stopped at RE 5 and haven’t played an RE game since.
I would seriously say try out some of the remakes or newer ones, 5 and 6 are largely regarded as the worst in the series when the franchise lost its way.
fun fact, re code veronica remaster is coming out next year, which might tempt you back :p
Looks like a horrible movie that didn’t need to be done over and over bader and bader each tome
