My dog found a small dead frog in the grass of our lawn.

We live close to a pond and a river but it's not a short hop away from a water source, so I wonder how it got there.

I did a bit of research and it seems like it may be a tree frog, which seems more plausible, but I still think it is a bit far from its natural habitat.

I am wondering if maybe a bird get a hold of it and dropped it there.

Any stackers have frog knowledge or a theory on how it ended up on my lawn?

@permanerd said on the last episode of YATA that frogs are a sign of a very healthy yard. Do with that what you will.

I will take it as a compliment but we have a lot of weeds so maybe it just thought it was still in the wild. Haha

I live about a half mile from a river and frogs show up in our backyard pond most years. We also have tree frogs, but I can't tell the difference.
