What's a Zapversary?
Have you ever celebrated the day you first joined a community that changed the way you see the world?
Many people celebrate birthdays. Some celebrate work anniversaries. But have you ever heard of a Zapversary?
A Zapversary is to my opinion is, the anniversary of the day you joined a Bitcoin-powered community on free and open protocols such as Nostr, Stacker News, or other tools built around permissionless communication and value exchange.
For Stackers, a Zapversary marks the day we joined SN and became part of a global community where ideas, conversations, and contributions can be rewarded directly.
Here's the Why
Because joining Stacker News is essentially the more than creating another online account. Isn't it the beginning of a different kind of internet experience? One where users can support one another directly, where thoughtful contributions have value, and where participation is rewarded rather than simply harvested for attention?
Think about it.
How many posts have you shared since then?
How many discussions have challenged your thinking?
How many sats have you earned, zapped, or sent to others?
How many friendships, collaborations, and opportunities started with a simple comment or post?
A Zapversary is a chance to look back and reflect on that journey. I'm sop happy to be one of this great work.
It's a reminder of the first day you stepped into a community built on open protocols, voluntary participation, and the free exchange of ideas.
So when your Stacker News account turns one year older, why not celebrate it?
After all, every stacker has a first day. Every journey starts with a single post. And every Zapversary tells the story of another year spent learning, sharing, stacking value, and growing alongside the community.
When is your Zapversary?
