To be fair, there are a lot of well-meaning “useful idiots” on the crypto/defi side, so wouldn’t necessarily draw too steady conclusions about morals.

Opportunism, sure. Lazyness/incompetence/naivete about not doing due diligence about the disingenuous token incentives, probably.
