As I previously posted here, the pre-release price for GTA 6, scheduled for release on November 19th of this year, has finally been revealed. Below the expected $100, the standard game will cost $79.90 and the ultimate edition $99.99.
For those interested in more than just the game, the ultimate version will come with the usual extras and some benefits for those interested in online mode. Cars, clothes, game skins, and token packs in online mode for GTA+.

A terrible precedent could arise from this pre-order, as the "physical" copies of the game will come with a download code and not the disc.
Players who pre-order digital versions of Grand Theft Auto VI will be able to begin pre-loading on November 12 to ensure they are able to play at launch on November 19. The physical version of Grand Theft Auto VI, containing a download code inside the box, will be available starting November 12 to support pre-loading.
It hasn't yet been said whether the game will have a disc after launch, but the suspicion that this is the new industry standard is worrying. Even today, discs are a precarious form of game ownership; many depend on updates to remain playable, both for the game and the console, and online mode is practically a completely different, digital game. Still, you have the physical copy in your hands instead of a license to download from Sony or Microsoft servers; the media allows you to enjoy that offline experience. If this becomes the new industry standard, the Jack Sparrow PC Master Race will be huge.
