sounds a little like the watch-only version of Hal Wallet - #1515075
I do think watch-only wallets are a useful tool for people. The problem is really that the non-technical kinds of users who might want this, aren't necessarily equipped to evaluate the claim that it's all local.
Entering a pubkey or descriptor in my browser sounds terrifying.
the code is open source, which helps, but indeed, hard to evaluate the claims as non-techie. perhaps people can point their ai at the github to check for concerns they may have.
I guess that is how it will go. Still nerve wracking though.
yet people paste their bitcoin addresses in block explorers all the time
This is like a block explorer?
LOL reinventing what can do any block explorer webpage.
Totally useless. Who is going to check everyday a damn onchain address? Onchain is onnly for long term holding and open/close LN channels, not for "watch how your bitcoin grow". That phrase is a damn fiat maxi bullshit.
This is just BitcoinErrorLog on an anon profile, isn’t it.
Where is Satoshi's symbol... 🤦

It's funny how something you'd never consider using becomes a feature and a product someone decides to maintain.
On mobile just make it an App icon from browsing the explorer page.
