Spain improved their performance yesterday and beat 3-0 Austria. Spain's line up included Dani Olmo and Porro and we noticed how different Spain plays with them. But the most important thing is that they played like team and that's the secret for success. I like what I watch and now, just waiting Portugal.

I was fighting last night against sleep to watch Portugal against Croatia. Enough to be able to watch last minutes of second half where Portugal equalized the match from penalty spot. Perhaps a bit questionable as similar situations happen frequently in corner kicks. Then Gonçalo Ramos, with CR7 already in the bench, scored a great header after a wonderful assist by Leao, putting Portugal ahead. At the very last minute, Croatia scored but one of the players involved was offside.

Portugal and Spain will on Monday in Dallas and it's going to be a tough match as always.

In the other match last night, Switzerland reached last 16 round after beating Algeria 2-0. Most of African teams are losing int this round and, only Morocco has gone through. Tonight Egypt and Cape Verde will play seeking a spot in the next round.

To be honest , Cape Verde has a difficult job ahead. Playing with Messi's Argentina seems an almost imposible task though they have managed to perform well till now. We will see though I expect Argentina to reach the next round.

Then Egypt will play against Australia. My gut feeling says that the North Africans should pass though Aussies have raised their performances from previous World Cups.

Finally, this round will finish with the match between Colombia and Ghana, which could be an interesting one though very unsociable hours here in my part of the world.

I am sure that "Beautiful Game" keeps adding points....
