I'm curious how this will change, if at all, when people get to add the portable solar panels to their backyards or patios versus solar on the roof only. As for car batteries, I expect the trend to continue if fuel prices keep pushing people towards EV cars.

I can speak to home batteries and EVs being a game-changer. Being paid to share your batteries with the grid is a joy and it goes straight into Bitcoin. The trend towards EVs isn't going to stop. Demand is higher right now because of gas prices, and although gas prices will inevitably ease in time I expect the demand to continue.
I'm curious why portable solar panels would have any impact. Everyone but the fire department wants more storage in the system. Main thing is we need more production to satisfy the unrelenting demand for electricity.
