Despite the lackluster sales, home prices continued to rise nationally last month. The U.S. median sales price increased 1.8% in June from a year earlier to $440,600, an all-time high on data going back to 1999, NAR said. Home prices have risen on an annual basis for 36 months in a row.

Yep, but what I'm noticing is that the home sales are picking up in states and regions that have not been the major real estate markets before. No surprise, that's where the affordability is now. The west coast, for example, is ridiculous. When I do sell my home here, it's likely going to pay for my retirement home and 50 acres somewhere else in the midwest of nowhere, LOL.

Not in Canada. Real estate is starting to rollover.

Unacceptable! Carney needs to start buying up all those distressed assets.
