Assuming Agora hasn't done their own research on donation amounts and conversion rates, why don't they copy the usual donation screen one would find with big name charities? You know, the screen with a grid of pre-selected amounts, even challenging the donor to go big with $500 or $1000 worth.

Also is it possible to donate with Lightning?

reply

we do have pre-selected amounts.

not lightning at this time, as most people use custodians with lightning and that's technically stoppable money at that point. we may need to add it in the future, but for now this is the best way to make it truly unstoppable with zero custodians.

reply

So custodial L1 or card is unstoppable but lightning is not? Because some plebtards use custodial lightning? And no one uses custodial L1 or credit cards?

I'm so lost right now, haha.

reply

Phoenix is the easiest way to manage Lightning in a self-custody setup.

This is a live, high-stakes test of Bitcoin's original promise: money that moves without permission, without borders, and without a gatekeeper deciding who's worthy of help.

I already foresee another chance thrown out the window, as soon as it is no longer useful and when state agents give the least of the threats they return to fiat. It was like that with Canadian truckers and with several other momentary needs. The good thing about this are the few understood and released, taken by the awareness of their prison in the fiat system starting to want more bitcoin and build their local circular economy.

reply

that is possible, but this is another touch point showcasing that bitcoin is unstoppable money. we need more examples of this. eventually, given enough examples, and a long enough time line, people will finally get it. that's my belief.

I completely agree – there’s no better currency than Bitcoin.

reply

it’s money, not a currency.

Translation issues. Obviously, I’m referring to money or assets – whatever you want to call it – in short, there’s nothing better in this century.

“constant dripping water wears away the stone” way, that’s what I expect too.

me parece muy bien buscar ayuda económica por el desastre
