While vibe coding my way through several other bitcoin projects, I realized I needed a dead-simple Bitcoin price database that other apps could query. So I built this. It's the first piece of code I've ever published on GitHub that actually works as intended, which feels pretty great — I've been wanting to scratch this particular itch for a while.

Fair warning: I'm flying by the seat of my pants here. Totally new to GitHub and "proper" development. If you've vibe-coded widgets or apps before, I'd genuinely love your feedback.

I'm using base44. It handles all the backend and setup and can get you something deplorable to anyone in the world in minutes. Great for us noobs.

That's good to know. I will check them out.

Thank you.

That's nice. It'd be great if you could expose the information through a rest API as well. Have you thought of this?

I want to make this data available to the world as much as possible.

Can you elaborate more on what you mean specifically?

Welcome to the party. But goddamn do I hate the “vibe coding” term lol

reply

yeah, I hear that but I don’t really know what else to call it.

reply

that’s fair, I don’t either
