There are two main "flavors" of success:

  1. Dethroning BTC, skyrocketing to $200,000 per coin, and eventually $20 million per coin -- in (what used to be called) "hyper-bitcoin-ization" . Although in this case it would be "hyper-ecash-ization".
  2. Serving as a nice demo of BIP-300, and as a proving ground for different L2s. An educational tool / science experiment.

I suppose option #1 must sound very extreme.

But my view is that one cryptocurrency will make it to a $200 Trillion market cap -- and the rest will die. And BTC seems to be unable (or unwilling) to make the jump to "8 billion users" -- (aka "all internet users", comparable to email / phone number). So BTC is dying off and the #1 spot is wide open for the taking.

Thanks Paul,

I think for anyone who has reached a decent stacking goal, it seems reasonable to sit back and watch potential multiple hard forks over the coming years and then decide which one was worth it after all

Remembering scams and risks and pitfalls associated with multiple chains connected to one private key

Best of luck with eCash

yes - very reasonable

in fact, even in the BTC-BCH split -- the UTXO sets were >50% identical for over two (?) years. If I recall correctly.

So, the "loud" people (on social media) are a very small minority.
