With the prices of storage and memory going through the roof, it makes perfect sense to recycle older tech, especially older PCs and laptops. No, they're not going play the latest video game that needs 24gb of GPU, but they can be useful for a lot of work from home computing to NAS to Internet convenience to inventory support for e-commerce home businesses. I've got 8 computers and 7 of them are recycled/rebuilt from other salvaged parts. Only my M3 Mac is a new purchase right before the price armageddon began and even that was on discount.
