A bunch of us have had somewhat comedically poor luck trying to get merchants to just turn on the bitcoin payment options that they already have with the Square terminals they take payments through.

I wouldn't be surprised if someone had better luck convincing hookers and dealers to give bitcoin a shot.

Yes, that's why there won't be widespread adoption—the wealthy are already using it, and so are the outliers.
