I almost downzapped #1349267 because I was very annoyed by some very old post showing up at the top again, and it wasn't immediately clear. But then I realized I can just wait a few hours, or someone else is going to "fight" for me.
Negative zap balance isn't temporary. It affects discovery.

Don't look just at the downzaps, look at zaps and boosts too.
Edit: PS: your gql scripts can answer your initial question - just query comments by sats, re-sort by boosts. Then you have a name.
A name as in who's doing it? I don't think the public API exposes the zaps table (who zapped or downzapped who). But I can definitely get posts/comments and sort them by boost / downzap / zap

But as a rule of thumb, I've seen people use "it is what it is" in regards to things that have already happened and can't be altered, in which case, there's no point in dwelling on them (even if you did have a chance to do something about it - in which case one should acknowledge that, learn the lesson, and do better next time)

This reminds me of the time when my English teacher got us to learn 16 nouns for Synthesis by playing Bingo. It was a refreshing change from the monotony of doing PSLE papers, so although we covered fewer words in that particular lesson, I thought it was a good opportunity for us to engage with the selected words more meaningfully. Therefore, I believe that we should sometimes prioritise fun over productivity because we can internalise learning more effectively that way.

ah shit. this is a classic scam from old school rpg games like RuneScape. as a start and easy fix, I'd recommend using a different font for usernames. a monospace one i think is usually the best bet. and choose a font that has a slash through the 0 so it cant be swapped for o
also a heavier feature idea: you could add a friend list/trusted user list, and users who are on your personalised list can have their usernames rank higher in tag search and also show in green.
We do have trust scores, so ordering those searches by it should be easy.

I was looking into that business of putting the O with the / on top, but from what I see, SN doesn't allow for that, nor for Gothic letters.

the problem with removing such an account is that we'd be committing to removing variations similar to any given user's name.
Basically I's and l's look very similar. so any name using either would mean banning names that use a look-alike letter.
I wonder if there isn't a good solution to this though.
So I'll have to live with this burden for the rest of my life then...?
