I do think there's still genuinely good advice on reddit, though, it just depends on the topic, and I don't think it's related to the Gell-Mann Amnesia effect.

Perhaps it's a good opportunity to convince some of the reddit lurkers to hang out with us here

 to do exactly that from one of my growth ideas that didn't go anywhere. We need to meet people where they are, and if they are on Reddit, we need to meet them there to bring them over slowly. You can take it over if you want.
