I would like to hear from people who successfully onboarded merchants onto Bitcoin. I have read some great stories where people had success with Square terminals, but I would like to hear about successes outside of Square.
Bitcoin is a p2p electronic cash system. One of the ways to increase adoption is to increase the number of businesses willing to be paid in Bitcoin. And while you can move to Lugano or use gift cards to live on Bitcoin, this doesn't really grow the p2p network. Are you taking active steps in that direction? What is your strategy?
I've mostly been trying to buy more from merchants who already accept bitcoin.
I haven't found orange pilling very fruitful and think the best approach is just to take my business elsewhere.
Would you mind advertising businesses that you like? Maybe that's another part that's missing: being able to discover (good) merchants.

Lately, I've mostly been trying to convince a friend who drives for Uber to accept Bitcoin as a form of payment for his rides and to put up a sign accepting tips. Here where I live, there aren't any businesses that accept BTC payments, and I've spoken with the lady who runs a small market stall, but she's quite elderly and honestly doesn't see "much use" in it.
But why only these two? Do you buy everything from that lady and only use your friend to commute?
