I don't really wish this for you but really bro. Go be stuck in some backwater country in North Africa or something... without all your 1st world luxuries. You'll be VERY happy that WU will give you cash against your ID. Bank account? lmao. In many of the countries that are on the receiving end of the remittance normies don't have bank accounts, or the bank accounts aren't usable. They have cash.
So, unfortunately I am speaking from experience. Because I have been stuck like that. And there is nothing so great as getting a lifeline loan from a friend through WU that you can walk out with cash, drive 20 hours in a pickup to the airport, and get the fuck out of a miserable place.
Bitcoin could fix this, maybe, partially. But it doesn't fix this for most people right now. Let's not be elitist, spoiled westerners in our criticism of everyone else that just doesn't have the standards you project upon them as prerequisites.

Simmer down there I am just saying what worked for me. Nothing is better than cash for the poor and those in developing countries and I don’t try to fake and make it seem like Bitcoin solves this. If the person who is asking a public forum for help on how to send money to someone who doesn’t have a bank account I wouldn’t suggest using bitcoin and strike.
Yeah so then it isn't a battle, it's bottom line just a take-it-or-leave-it suggestion. I'd still recommend against the argument. You're trying to help someone, either they want the help you're offering, or they don't.
The reason why Bitcoin solves things is because we feel the friction. And then when we solve it because we need it solved for us, we share the solution. So sure, you are right about that.
What I think you're wrong about though is that Strike is better than remitly. Strike is possibly better than remitly for Bitcoiners. It is not per-se better for no-coiners. I would mention it, and that's it? But also, then Bitcoin doesn't fix it, Strike, a corporation fixes it (and it still needs KYC.)

I was brought to Bitcoin by coinbase in 2017. By your logic I should have waited for some crappy no liquidity no KYC exchange to come along and buy $50 worth of bitcoin so I can remain counter culture is somewhat lame!

That's not what I was arguing at all though. I'll just ask a question, maybe that will make my last objection clear, because it is worth discussing.
Scenario:
I, normie-opti, migrated in from Eastern Turkey, and I have a great desk job with a US company in Boston. I make about 40x what the entirety of my family back home combined makes, so I wanna send back some cash rather than buy a mansion. I pay my taxes, have my citizenship, all is in order. My salary gets paid through ACH, directly to my Chase account. Sending money directly to their Ziraat Bank account from Chase is difficult due to politics, so I want to use a middleman that makes sure the money gets there.
Please correct me if I am living in the past and a scenario like this is no longer a US reality

Turkey isn’t supported.
But if your country was supported you could ACH your paycheck to strike and then send the family funds to their bank account and it arrives in a few minutes.
Why not battle? This use case you are correct sat to sat transfers might not be as useful as one may think but with Strike you can easily set up an account and send money worldwide into someone’s bank account.
Western union is still viable because we have no other way to send physical cash long distances without it getting loss and stolen. But if people are going to use remitly they can use strike instead!
