+1 also expose post IDs so we can roll

reply

I think the amount of porn on this site will explode

reply

I've sometimes wondered why porn isn't more prevalent here. I think maybe Bitcoiners are a bit more mature about those things.

reply

Nah it’s not easily monetized by the ones selling porn.

Once it’s easy to monetize on here the porn will come in droves.

You can’t avoid it.

reply

Sure, they can come, but if they pay to post or boost their posts to get them to the front and we still don't zap or comment on the rest of us, their posts will be forgotten. That's the best thing about SN.

reply

Right when territories launched, there were a bunch of porn links but it didn’t last long.

reply

Does that kind of thing actually get posted on this site? Maybe I just have the prude filter settings on or something, but I've never seen anything blush-inducing.

Does this site have a "content policy" in regards to that kind of imagery?

reply

I have the NSFW option on, I've never seen anything before.

There was a NSFW territory for a short time. There wasn't really porn but some nude images got posted in it.

reply

Time for us to recruit on ONLY FANS!

Soon as k00b fixes this whole wallet issue

There's already a nsfw filter users have to opt in to.

reply

Yeah mine is on I never see anything NSFW. And my sat filter is negative infinity so I should see everything posted here unless it’s downzapped to hell

reply

I think the fact that we haven't devolved into blatant rudeness here is a good thing. I go on 4chan sometimes, but I like SN for being generally more positive and less black pilling.

E: I am basing my comparison on boards like /pol and /biz

reply

@anon only!?!?

It would be funny, but I don't really see anything more than that. Or am I missing something?

reply

Every meme you've seen on the Internet probably originated from 4chan.

Anyways, there's 2 styles of chan boards:

  • Every post is uniformly authored as "anonymous"
  • Every poster gets the "anonymous" name, but their unique random ID does not transfer across different threads.

Optional: Allow users to post in tge territory with their pseudonymous SN account, but it costs extra.

I love sn's anon account: it's like a joint username for the whole internet. It's very cool. Am anon territory would be really fun, especially if anon only.

reply

it’s like coin join, but for SN items

No longer relevant on SN :)

Sats decide the ordering.

reply

Chanboards with sats flying around does sound interesting

Just use another nym.

If anon and another anon are having a discussion it looks confusing. You could even just have discussions with yourself.

reply
Just use another nym

The point is to make everyone else use a unique nym per topic, not to use a nym yourself

You could even just have discussions with yourself.

Already possible when using another nym :)

reply

Please no. First, there is already 4chan or whatever chan you like. Just go there.

4chan in particular has a lot of negativity attached to it and it will only make Bitcoin adoption more difficult.

I like this place for nuanced discussions that are not weird. Please do not ask me to define weird, you know what I mean.

reply

This community is still small, the types that use faggot/retard etc in every post will eventually find there way here even if anon territories aren't created.

reply

I think few people here have ever been on 4chan

Source: I once had to explain on here how to use catalog, top, down. Too many newfags.
