I have a question for the Stacker users. I wanted to schedule several posts daily, like these, so it would save me time. I could dedicate 30 minutes one morning to finding the data and preparing the posts.
The idea is to have several posts ready to be published automatically throughout the day/week.
Since publishing on Stacker News costs sats, the system could work as follows:

When scheduling a post, the user deposits the necessary sats into a temporary platform account or something similar. These sats would only be deducted from the wallet once the post is published. If I cancel the post, they should be returned to my wallet. A fee could also be charged for creating future posts or for canceling posts, to avoid creating future posts unnecessarily. These fees could go to the rewards fund or to the territory owner.

If a territory owner raises the posting cost while the post is in the queue, the system should check if the held funds are sufficient. If they are insufficient, the system would send a notification to the user warning them with something like: "Your scheduled post cannot be published because territory fees have increased and your reserved funds are insufficient." If the funds are sufficient, the difference should be returned to the wallet of the person who created the post.
Do you think this is technically feasible for Stacker News? Would a scheduling tool be useful for your daily routine on the platform? Or has this already been explored and it's not viable, leaving me out of the loop?
This is one of the more commonly requested features. I don’t know if it’s difficult to implement or not though.
I really wish that option existed; weekends are a bit complicated for me at home, so scheduled posts could solve that problem.
I like the idea of scheduled posts. I'm not sure an escrow is required though: perhaps it could just be seen as a prepayment. For ease it could be nonrefundable. In that case there is also no need to worry about changing posting fees: the poster just pays the rate at whatever time they schedule the post. Treat cancelling the post the same as deleting a post and it is very simple. Do you think there is a need for refundability?
It could be considered that scheduled posts do NOT count towards the cowboy hat prize; it could be a way to "cheat" with them.
