I don't get how she ever got the reputation for writing the "woke" translation. If anything, it's the exact opposite. Her translation is the closest to the Greek original, Wilson is the TRAD choice.

This is completely false. Her translation looks nothing like the original Greek as they would have understood it.

Her translation is nothing like ancient Greek ACTORS would have played it on STAGE. But is exactly like the text was written.

Directly translating the words from one language to another will yield incredible misunderstanding. Also, it's impossible. Language just doesn't work that way.

Wilson is not traditional, her translation is flawed and misleading.

Fagles translation has more credibility
