Being a dad didn't fill me with grand emotions at the start

I've never heard any parent admit this before. It's always some teeth-gritting statement instead like "Well, kids can be tough to handle for the first few years, but I'm completely emotionally absorbed!"

it happens to dads but i'm very emotional so i know i will be very attached to him
