Crazy how fast this moving... these appear to be problems of true significance, rather than random conjectures nobody cares about.

All ten problems combined reportedly cost only $2000 in token costs.

Fable's assessment of the accomplishments:

“On the Fields Medal scale, any single one of these…would plausibly anchor a medal case”

I want to see what real world consequences this will have.

In the past, science and math breakthroughs always lead to economic advances, new consumer products and gdp growth. It always takes some time but it always did.

Maybe this time it won't. Maybe Math is too advanced and too abstract to have real world applications anymore. Maybe it it still does.

Coding theory requires abstract math, and it is often far from the layman's intuition for whether some problem is practically relevant...

The "real world consequences" aren't as obvious as your pilot announcing that the engineer who invented the turbojet is sitting in the cabin with you today, although they could easily enable lower power consumption for billions of wireless devices, or higher bandwidth for imagery sent home by deep space probes.

Sure, coding does require abstract math. But does it require Connes' rigidity conjecture?

I like your example of the invention of the jet engine. The invention of the jet engine improved my quality of life by a lot. Will the solution to Connes' rigidity conjecture lead to any invention as impactful to the jet engine?

I hope it does. But i don't know.

No offense but it does not sound like you made it through a single semester of compsci lectures.

I have no idea what your background is, so I deliberately used an accessible and completely non-technical metaphor.

Would you have preferred that I barf jargon which nobody outside the field understand?

you don't even have any SN bio, so figuring out your level of understanding just from reading your comments will take way more time than I can reasonably justify spending right now.

This isn't even a coherent thought, let alone factually correct. Look into magnesium, zinc, and iron for more mental clarity and less degenerate brain fog
