We review the full Boltz cascade: one coordinator going dark took Lightning and Liquid swaps down across Bull Bitcoin, Aqua, Blockstream, ZEUS, Geyser, HodlHodl and more.

We break the outage into four structural failures: a single point of failure, the code-monoculture trap (ZEUS ran its own Boltz instance and still had to pause), attackers iterating faster than a small team can patch, and the chicken-and-egg that killed tbDEX.

We introduce Immortal infrastructure, aimed at each: hardened public-domain Rust infrastructure for the open swap network — a relay that coordinates, a provider daemon anyone can run, and a client engine wallets embed that verifies every script, amount, and timelock before money moves: https://github.com/OpenAgentsInc/immortal

The relay is live now at http://relay.openagents.com speaking NIP-MKT. Providers publish signed offerings; clients browse, negotiate privately, and settle. No accounts. The money never touches the coordinator — kill the relay mid-swap and funds still come home through unilateral refunds.

Joining the network means running a binary, not integrating a stack. A network of many small independent operators has no honeypot worth attacking and no kill switch for the ecosystem. Nobody needs to be the next Boltz.

Swaps are just the first market. The same fabric already coordinates real project work, and generalizes to compute, data, labor, and agent markets.
