So, this guys had a device that sound an alarm if any cold btc are moved, giving them time to fight with sats.
At the end of the day it is a sats battle to keep the funds.
We hosted 10,000 sats on a [@Pathfinder) Coldcard MK3, waiting for an attacker to attempt a sweep. The attacker struck just 10 seconds after the deposit.
WatchGuard (@we_satoshis hardware ) detected the sweep attempt and raced the attacker in real time using a pre-signed Replace-by-Fee (RBF) transaction.
The defense was successful—the RBF transaction won the race, using a fee of 9,000 sats to secure the funds

but the attacker strike again with 9100 sats fee .... This race can continue until every last satoshi is burned in mining fees instead of ending up in the hacker's wallet...
They went for 10k sats? Wow.
I'm not surprised they went for 10k sats, but I'm more surprised that they bothered racing the RBF. That could mean the attacker has already factored this defense into their script, and it's programmed to automatically RBF anyone, up to some limit.
Why not? An AI with a mandate to take whatever is possible would do exactly this.
The fact that the attack happened so quickly, over such a small amount, and the RBF's were in place immediately, tells me that we are dealing with agentic AI here.
