There are a few open-source mining pools.

and others I'm missing, surely.

Not all are documented as well as others. Part of the reason for that is SV1 was never properly documented. SV2 is much better in that regard.

One of our primary goals with Hydrapool from the 256 Foundation is to have extensive documentation and easy setup instructions so it can be deployed easily anywhere, from StartOS/Umbrel to commercial scale deployments.

Big players aren't open source.

Regarding the home mining space, yea lots happening. Lots going on. There aren't any commercial products designed for more of a heat focus that are FOSS (YET).

The Canaan miners do have public APIs at least, so you can do cool control stuff with things like Home Assistant. Automations, link to thermostats, etc...
