I put together a small self-hosted Lightning demo and left it running to see if real people would actually use it.
Voyager — https://voyager.tail6bba0.ts.net/
What it is:
- Multiplayer checkers in the browser
- LNURL-auth (login with your wallet, no password)
- Tiny sats shop + premium board skins paid in sats
- Rust binary, intentionally minimal (no Google Analytics)
Why I'm posting here:
This crowd lives on Lightning day to day. I'd rather hear what's broken or lame than get polite applause.
If you try it, tell me:
- Did LNURL login work with your wallet?
- Did a payment (shop or skin) feel smooth or cursed?
- Anything that made you close the tab immediately?
Also on Nostr if you prefer that: aycaramba@iris.to
Happy to answer technical questions. Stay humble, stack sats.
Cool.
Haven't played but a few thoughts:
Eschew LNURL Auth. It's dead. Too many broken implementations and everyone has so many lightning wallets they don't remember what they used to login with.
Took me a second to determine what I was looking at, separate the shop and game. Closed tab here.
Use Nostr instead of LNURL Auth, Nostrification would be cool to challenge others and post wins / invite spectators. Social gaming. Can use CLINK too for invoice transport p2p
No one cares it was written in Rust, don't bury the lead.
