So normally only 4000 “long term” coins (held longer then 5 months) move per week, but last week 43,000 coins considered dormant (including mine!) moved. Not suspected of hacked or stolen like the 1,150 we know of. So $120M of bitcoin stolen, but goes to show it could’ve been a LOT worse! Those long term hodlers really have their keys and are really HODLing and NOT SELLING

It's good to see posts like this and the exchange one putting the loss in perspective. I feel for nvk because the response is nowhere near proportional to that loss when viewed against the backdrop of Bitcoin history.

There are still many who'd love for Bitcoin to die or become unusable, so take dramatic how's this going to work for Aunt Tilly sentiments with a grain of salt. Hopefully everyone learned a lesson on entropy and trust!
