As an aside. If you can find a decent mechanic that allows you to bring him the parts and he installs you might find that repair job is only 1/3rd of what a mechanic shop tries to charge.
Case in point: Kids rear struts needed to be changed, repair shop was quoting $800 for it. Was able to buy the struts for $90 from rockauto and have local "shade-tree" mechanic that I know charge me $300 to install them.
