I largely agree with you, but it's one of those things where it's probably more about the stuff you learn along the way.

IMHO the race to build humanoid robots is dumb and useless.

Robots must be ugly, clanky, non-humanoid looking, but strong, and dedicated to single task not trying to copycat people.

Robots must do only the heavy work that people cannot do or is dangerous for them (into the fucking mines! )

All this bullshit with robots competing into sports is idiotic.
