yes you’re right it might actually be the case that it’s the person with the SSN who is actually at risk not me. I just got the email!
But either way it was my name, email, and address. When I called Go2Bank those are the things I had to confirm. I didn’t confirm SSN.
I think Go2Bank is a legitimate fintech company. A lot of complaints about them online tho

That's really confusing. I cant say I have tried to open any acount like that recently so I forget the process, but I was very much under the impression they would need your SSN and DOB. Is Go2Bank a legitimate enterprise?
I realize you may not have the answer, but what I wonder is, how is that not the problem of the person who's SSN was used instead of your's? SSNs seem to be more exact identifiers than names.
Would this not imply that anyone can commit identity theft on basicaly any person they know irl? Name, email and address are basic information.
