I'm testing it out right now, just for fun but also looking for new mining projects for my itty bitty fleet. This is a different payout scheme idea where the payout goes to the workers that have submitted the highest difficulty work ; so the miners do not necessarily need to be actively submitting work to receive the payout if the pool were to find a valid block and have it accepted by the network. I am currently sending work from a bitaxe to test it out. I have the bitaxe running via DATUM on my start9. Gridpool has instructions for how to update your DATUM config to point to their pool. It was very easy, simply copy/pasting a few lines. Watched it accept a few shares seems to all be working.

The project has some ambitious ideas to be able to have separate gridpool operators Federate, seems like it would be something akin to p2pool.
