Coming in from Reddit, I’m feeling some nostalgia for the way things used to be on Reddit.
Back when I used Bookmarking Demon to spam the web in 2011, Reddit looked a lot like this. Does anyone remember those little Scuttle sites and Delicious bookmarking? I used to spam the shit out of them to seed backlinks before Google started using Penguins to fight back. Dark times.
I didn’t appreciate the actual social value of these sites until much later, when I got tired of Stack Exchange and wanted to solve problems without condescension and downvotes, and re-discovered reddit (much evolved).
This place has that old-internet vibe I abused so hard, and I’m finally mature enough to appreciate it and actually have fun here.

Its too bad reddit sucks so much now. They have even hidden old.reddit behind a login for some stupid reason, the eternal quest for enshitification.
