🇹🇼 Taiwan Signals Growing Interest in a Bitcoin Reserve

Taiwan could be taking an important step toward putting Bitcoin on its national policy agenda.

Taiwanese legislator Ko Ju-Chun said that a Bitcoin reserve should “of course” be considered as a plan for the near future, signaling growing political interest in Bitcoin as a potential strategic asset.

Ko also emphasized a cautious, legally compliant approach:

“I will keep moving this work, the Bitcoin reserve in Taiwan. Carefully, legally, and step by step.”

The comments suggest Taiwan may be exploring Bitcoin reserves not as a short-term speculative move, but as a longer-term strategic initiative.

If Taiwan eventually moves toward holding Bitcoin as part of its reserves, it could add another major Asian economy to the growing global conversation around sovereign Bitcoin adoption.

Bitcoin reserve adoption continues to move from theory toward policy discussions. 🇹🇼₿
