The Nancy Grace Roman telescope avoided being canceled on two different occasions and was delivered roughly a year early and slightly under budget (which is just an insane thing to read about in today's day and age). With this successful launch, it will begin its three-month journey to get into place for operation.

Once in operation, it will team up with Hubble and Webb to further our understanding of space, with expectations that Roman will be able to shed light on dark matter and dark energy, as well as rapidly scan in a month what would take Hubble 100 years to complete. What it finds in these scans can be relayed to the Webb telescope, which can then take different images and readings of what was found.

I cannot wait to see the first images from Roman.
