To start this conversation, I'll give a little background: My daughter is quite "old school" or "retro," given that she belongs to the last generation. She loves many things from the 2000s, and we're currently watching the Nickelodeon series "iCarly" (it's about a trio of friends who do a show on their website). My daughter asked me if websites still exist. She has no experience with computers, much less browsing the internet on her own, and obviously, she doesn't have social media. When she asked me that question, I explained and told her that when I was a child/teenager, I played on websites. We checked the Nickelodeon, Disney, Barbie, MyScene, Cartoon Network, and other websites where I used to play, and all I found were boring, monochrome sites. None of them have games, and the only options are subscriptions or buying products. Before, they were colorful, eye-catching, fun, and interactive. It was truly disappointing.
We were lucky enough to find a very old website that still has mini-games and maintains the style and theme from 25 years ago. It was fabulous to be able to access various games without having to overload my phone or tablet's memory by downloading or paying for them.
2000s are quite "recent". It sounds like you are more into Flash like web games and apps? I haven't really gone through that era, so it's hard to say. I don't know what's good and if someone persisted it. From this time I remember things like https://www.newgrounds.com/ , which I think has games too...
If you would be interested in the era before that, then there's a very large community for retrogaming - essentially all games from things like PlayStation, GameCube, etc can be downloaded and run in an emulator. Either on your computer, or there is a very large variety of retrogaming devices that cost somewhere between $50 and $300 (https://www.youtube.com/c/RetroGameCorps is probably the best channel).

I spent a lot of time playing a completely non-licensed X-Men game called X-Assault. Man, I miss playing it.
