Here we go! Tonight, at 6:45 CET, will start a new UCL season. This year, as previous one, there will be only UCL matches this first week, as Europa League will begin next week and Conference League fans will need to wait until October.

Tonight, we will be able to watch up to 6 matches. The most relevant match will take place in Madrid, where Real Madrid receives Inter Milan. The Merengues lost their last match on Friday against Real Betis. They have kept their main players from last year, such as Mbappé, Bellingham and Vinicius, and added some extra like Diomandé, Konaté and Bernardo Silva. One player who is not one of the staters at this stage is Carlos Espí, a young striker, which looks like great. We will se if he manages to achieve spot among so many stars. Perhaps, more relevant is that they have signed an old well known coach, Jose Mourinho, to turn things around from previous years. He was also an Inter coach a few years ago. They have signed up to four players from the Premier League including Akanji, Spence, Jones and Stones. All of them more defensive players than attacking.

Earlier on, Aston Villa will play against Brugge in Belgium. The English side has spent 300M € in signings this summer, including one of rising stars from last World Cup, Manzambi. Other top signings have been Jackson, from Chelsea, and Mbaye, from PSG. Opposite to them, Brugge only spent 52M€ with the top signing being Virgili, from Spanish club Mallorca. It seems that the villains are the favorite tonight.

Also, at 6:45, AEK Athens will received debutants LASK. Austrians have been a couple of times in previos rounds to the Group Phase but not in the league ones. They have made several signings that have not reached 4M€. A bit more from the Greek side, up to 20M € in signings, with the Croatian Majer as the most expensive from Wolfsburg.

Borussia Dortmund and Villareal will play in Germany at 9 PM CET. The Spanish side, after changing their coach, have not started well this year with just 2 points out of 12 already played. Dortmund won their two matches in the Bundesliga. A tough game for the Spanish side.

An interesting Porto vs Man City will also take place at 9 PM CET in Portugal. The Portuguese are on fire, after winning their 5 matches in Primeira Liga, scoring up to 11 goals. Man City has also started strong, with their new manager Maresca. Three wins in their 3 matches.

Finally, Real Betis will pay a visit to Lille. The Spanish side just beat Real Madrid on Friday. It is their first match after 21 years in the UCL. Lille will be a tough rival with Mbappé's brother and a classic striker as Giroud.
