I think it would be great if you can be more specific about the hardware wallets. Differences between models matter, and just listing and linking the manufacturer doesn't help with that. Maybe that's too much for this article though, and perhaps in the future you can assess the models and link to a detailed article instead of the manufacturer's website? Just an idea to make this more robust.
PS: if we burn ColdCard now, then we should burn Ledger too (for lying about post-initialized secret extraction for years) - i.e. a toxic/lying manufacturer should never be recommended to anyone?
I thought about listing specific models, but like you said, it felt like too much for this article. I also wanted to keep it evergreen without having to constantly update models.
But a dedicated article comparing hardware wallets in detail definitely makes sense.

Yes, it can be very confusing for new bitcoiners to decide which model to pick, also because from some manufacturers the simpler, cheaper device is overall safer than the expensive ones, for example due to reduced attack surface / complexity. It's a lot of work to dig into these though! Let us know here if you ever need extra eyes on something like that. We have a lot of great eyes reading SN - and at times in the past when I asked, I've gotten great insights in comments.
