My dad never was much of a reader. On the other hand, I was. We really didn't talk about books much. But I have this strange memory of riding on the bench seat of his truck when I was little, pushing the gear shift around, while he told me the story of Fahrenheit 451. I can't remember how detailed he was, and I have since read and forgot most of it, but something about burning books really got to me.

You have to have the eyes to see the stories right in front of us.
