NWC interoperability layer is growing so big it's getting harder and harder to fit everything in one ecosystem map
Here are eight of them
- PPQ is one of the coolest additions! Auto-topups from your self-custody wallets for your AI tokens have never been easier, give it a try!
- B2B Central, a crypto swap aggregator let's you connect your lightning wallets to easily swap in or swap out sats with NWC through Bitcoin Connect
- ZapBook is a social reading app that pays you sats for reading books, with built in NWC support.
- AmbrosiaPoS is a multi-user point-of-sale system for Lightning payments, supporting role-based access. Users can choose to use phoenixd or self-hosted NWC for receiving payments.
- OpenReceive provides libraries for Node and Rails to accept payments directly into your own wallet via a receive-only NWC connection.
- Zappr is a nostr social client with an NWC wallet interface and AI assistant for feed summaries and user-approved Lightning payments.
- Lightning Control Center is a self-hosted LND node dashboard with NWC connections for apps, but also allows you to us it with external NWC wallets.
- And something for builders — NWC tester by Rizful allows you to test your apps NWC flows.

might be the single best thing to come from NOSTR
A practical datapoint from running an unattended agent on these rails -- a liveness note rather than a map entry:

This map helped me understand NWC a little better. At first I thought it had a lot in common with things like Mostro and PayPerQ because they all touch Nostr and Lightning. But now it looks like NWC is more of a connection layer between apps and wallets, while Mostro is a P2P trading protocol and PayPerQ is actually using NWC for automated payments.
Is that a fair way to think about the difference?
