Stackers we are back! A new NFL season is upon us and the Bills were in action today against the Houston Texans. We got the win! Here are my Three Takeways!

1. Josh MVP Allen! What a game by Allen. Four touchdowns getting it done against a really good Texans defense who didn’t allow 30 points to anyone in the regular season last year. Josh’s arm was alive. On the instant replays the ball was coming out in a tight spiral. It was cool to see Bills go deep again! The offense was cooking! After trying to establish the run Josh went to new addition DJ Moore and broke the game open. Dalton Kincaid could not be stopped. Josh put up a beautiful 50-50 ball to Kincaid when the ball was spotted inside the 5 yard line and Kincaid came down with it. I can’t say it enough it truly is a joy watching this guy play football.
2. The defense was more of the same. Had a hard time stopping the run CJ looked good against this defense. But in there defense when the chips were on the table our defensive line came up huge. Walker the third round monster from Kentucky beat his man clean and got a sack on Stroud for a 9 nine loss and then Greg got the strip sack fumble in which Terrell recovered! While it was not the greatest performance by the defense ( like the blown coverage by the DBs that allowed Houston to get a 1st and goal.) they came up big when it mattered most.
3. Brady in his first game as a NFL head coach was a solid B. The offense worked well but the hook and ladder early and the screen pass on the one that almost got picked off for pick six was not great. The defense looked like Sean was still coaching the team The special teams was mix bag. I am not sure why the punt returner wouldn’t catch the ball but the punter was great and the kicker made all six of his kicks. But getting a win on the road against a playoff team with a really good defensive line that sacked Josh 8 times last time we played stops him from getting a solid C.

So glad the NFL is back. The new editions seem to work well today. This Bills offense is good enough to take us far but can the defense and the coach keep up to make sure Josh is show his stuff and take us to the promise land. Next up we play the Lions on Thursday night. As always

LETS GO BUFFALO!!!
