IMO stupid line of discussion. Bitcoin will keep changing as users want different things. When bitcoin stops changing it's because nobody is using it anymore. Oh, there will always be a huge long fight about it on the internet though, regardless. Good. The date bug? We got 80 years. No rush. It can be done slow and careful. High time preference subjectively distorts the real time window, everything has to be done yesterday and underlying all this creeps in this progressivism. Change for the sake of change.

I don't think so, I think slow down on main chain pushes the innovation to second layers, sure there might be a few changes proposed in the future, but the more it slows down, the less execution risk you have on the base layer and gives people more confidence.
