Liberal Democrats want the enforcement of "cohabitation laws" which would essentially treat any couple living together for more than three years as if they are married.
Under the new plans, unmarried couples could gain rights to bring financial claims if they separate.

This would create more bureaucracy issues: prenups between roommates etc.
