I have been using Wasabi wallet for a long time. I recently just updated the Wallet within wasabi (clicking the checkmark) and it is now on version 2.7.2.
I sent the onchain transaction from Rizful. Copied the address from Wasabi and it should have been sent to there. But, I did notice that when it was sent, the wasabi receive modal did not close after the transaction was sent. It remained open. I thought that was weird as it usually closes after it captures the tx.
I looked at the mempool transaction and i noticed that the address it was being sent to was different. It was not a bc1q, but a bc1p address, and the correct address that I intended to send to was instead the change address.
Can someone please help me as what has happened? @Kruw I would appreciate your help thank you
Technically I can't really help you out. Did you double-check the address after pasting it into Rizful?
Yes, I did. For some reason the address i intended to send to was then put as the change address
I don't understand how this happened. Did it go somewhere else within my Wasabi wallet? It was a small transaction. The address that I sent to was the 1q77. But as you can see it was sent as a change address. What happened here?
Also, if I were to update Wasabi wallet, what is the correct method of doing so? Was there something wrong in the update that I did?

Yes I did. It's weird because I've done this numerous times. The only thing I can think of was that I updated Wasabi from within the application (by clicking the green checkmark), it closed and then I opened it back up to make the tx

I shared a screenshot here before, but here it is again. You can see that the bc1q77 address which is where I was sending it which was generated form Wasabi, is showing that I received the "change" amount. Which I don't understand why. It should have just sent the total amount, but that main amount was instead sent to a different address, which was the bc1ps68 address.
I think it's just labeling it wrong. Bitcoin transactions have no concept of a "change address". It's probably just using a heuristic that the smaller output is the "change" output (the new UTXO that belongs to the sender).

If Rizful used one of their UTXOs to pay you, then the change is bc1ps6, and that address belongs to Rizful, not you. It looks to me like that’s the case, because the input also starts with bc1p. If you sent 235,886 sats to bc1q77 and received the payment, what’s the problem?
No, I didn't receive the full payment. Thats the thing. I received only the "change" amount to the bc1q77 address
Your screenshot from Rizful says you sent 235,886 sats and that's what you received. Which amount were you expecting? Did you think the other 11m sats would arrive, too?

Rizful can do onchain which I've been doing for a while now. It was only 200 bucks
If you sent 235k sats then you're good. Must be a sync issue on Wasabi.
How do you know? I don't think thats right. I only see the change amount in the wallet. How is the sync issue resolved? Should i update to the latest OS?
