The Trump White House has mainstreamed Border Hawk into the White House press pool.

I checked the published 2026 rotations.

Border Hawk received the White House's New Media slot on:

May 16

June 11

July 3 

August 14

August 27 

September 18

So let's dispense with vague labels and look at what Border Hawk's own president and editor-in-chief, Dan Lyman, actually says.

At the 2024 conference of VDARE, a publication that has promoted white-nationalist writers and arguments about preserving America’s white racial identity, Lyman praised its work and said he hoped it would continue “for many decades.”

Then he read the SPLC's charge that Border Hawk associates with VDARE.

His response:

“Guilty as charged. We're associating with all of you.”

He read another passage saying Border Hawk promoted the Great Replacement theory.

His response:

“Of course, the Great Replacement is real.”

The New Yorker independently reported Lyman warning about:

“the destruction of white America”

His rhetoric doesn't stop there.

Lyman told an American-born Indian-American politician:

“You need to leave this hemisphere and go back to Poojastan.”

Then:

“Get out.”

He has said:

“All Whites with any sense should flee diversity zones immediately. Peaceful coexistence no longer appears possible.”

He has called journalists:

“lower than cockroaches”

and

“scum of the earth.”

He uses AJAB, "all journalists are bastards”, and has urged followers to harass journalists.

At that VDARE conference, Lyman described immigration as:

“one of the gravest injustices, one of the greatest crimes in the history of mankind.”

He described immigrants as “relentless waves of humanity” dragging the nation under and said Americans must fight:

“For our ancestors, the courageous conquerors, the settlers, the explorers, who built a magnificent civilization for us.”

Now look at who the White House itself selects for its New Media pool.

Recent rotations include Breitbart, Gateway Pundit, Townhall, Daily Signal, The Federalist, Frontlines, Timcast, Just the News, Blaze, Washington Free Beacon,  and Border Hawk.

I could not find anything resembling a comparable recurring progressive-independent bloc in the published rotations I examined.

Border Hawk isn't merely adjacent to this system.

The White House has selected it repeatedly.

A news organization whose president says “the Great Replacement is real,” warns of “the destruction of white America,” says whites should flee “diversity zones,” tells an American-born woman of Indian ancestry to “get out,” praises VDARE, and calls journalists “lower than cockroaches” is now routinely credentialed inside the White House press ecosystem.

Meanwhile, Trump has excluded CNN, MS NOW and Politico after explaining:

“I don't want them in my office. I don't want them here.”

But he does want Border Hawk there.
