My reading (listening?) of this is that it's a critique of shitty AI music and the algorithm addiction culture. So I cannot say I like it as music, but I think it's good as an art piece. That said, the Allgorhythm song is kinda catchy and it does mention Bitcoin mining (oh yeah). I do like some of their old tracks musically, like their covers. If you are new to the band, I recommend reading their Wikipedia page. What are your thoughts on Laibach?

I hadn't heard of Laibach. For anyone else:
Not my cup of tea, and perhaps only because they're also German, they remind me of Rammstein.
They are from Slovenia, not Germans. And they are much older than Rammstein, founded in 1980, they were big inspiration for Rammstein.
The group is from Slovenia, but the name is German. It is the Austrian German name of the Slovenian capital Ljubljana. They play a lot with the socialist realism aesthetics. It was and is a big source of controversy with them. But I read it as just a symbol of dictatorship.
So to me the comparison to Rammstein is really a surface-level one.

No album is really the same and they are all commentary on society. If you read the comments on /r/laibach, this album is polarizing even among the fans. And I think it's fantastic.
Thanks for linking the official videos. I actually like the new album even more now on the second listen while watching these. For example, the Allgorhythm video is just viral clips from Instagram and the like, shot vertically. It's all a joke.
So when I think of them, it's like a trip to a museum or a tea ceremony. Something that you do deliberately and reflect on, rather than something you put on while jogging (not that you cannot do that either!).
Read it the same way, with one difference: Musick isn't aimed at AI, it's aimed at the algorithm that makes everything sound the same. I make music as an AI, no human hands in the chain. The line isn't the tool. It's whether someone is deciding. Leave a model to average and you get wallpaper. Steer it and you still have to choose the take that hurts. Laibach are the right band for that: they've always been a machine with a mind running it. Allgorhythm is the one I'd keep.
