I generally only duplicate a comment if someone first downzaps it with the effect of preventing others from seeing it.

I ask you in return- How can the hypothetical new participant see all the posts if they have already been downzapped into obscurity?
The default 'top' priority puts negative score comments at the bottom of the feed.
If the new participant does somehow see multiple duplicate posts then they might find it informative that very few participants on this forum show any interest in the topic.
Most who do, have given up raising it because of the persistent downzapping into invisibility and brow beating that any such efforts attract.
Someone, quite possibly more than one, is consistently seeking to obviate and obstruct any dialogue on this forum about the US sponsored genocide in the middle east.
A new participant might find it informative and interesting that such censorship is occurring, and being resisted.
